Catherine Rouse1
F, ID# 808, b. 5-DEC-1772, d. 19-APR-1841
- UNVERIFIED ANCESTOR
There is no certifiable or conclusive evidence that Catherine Rouse is related to the family listed below.
Parents:
Children of Catherine Rouse and John Yeager
Christopher John Yeager7 b. 13-MAR-1788, d. 5-JUL-1852
John Yeager8 b. 1-JAN-1792, d. 29-AUG-1859
John Jacob Yeager 👪9,10 b. 11-MAR-1793, d. 12-MAY-1869
Catharine Yeager11 b. 6-SEP-1802, d. 17-JUN-1873
John Yeager8 b. 1-JAN-1792, d. 29-AUG-1859
John Jacob Yeager 👪9,10 b. 11-MAR-1793, d. 12-MAY-1869
Catharine Yeager11 b. 6-SEP-1802, d. 17-JUN-1873
Birth, Marriage, Death, and Burial:
- On 5-DEC-1772, Catherine Rouse was born in PA, USA.3
- She was the daughter of George Rouse Sr. and Dorothy Wolfkill.2,3,1
- On 1-JUL-1788, Catherine (15) married John Yeager (21) in PA, USA.1,4
- Circa 1797, Catherine Rouse was born in PA, USA.1
- On 19-APR-1841, Catherine Rouse (68 years, 4 months and 14 days) died. Dauphin Co., PA, USA.1,3
Other Events:
- Catherine Rouse was also known as Rauch.4
- Her married name was Yeager.
Research Notes:
- The book, History of that part of the Susquehanna and Juniata valleys... states Dorothy Wolfkill and George Rouse Sr. had four sons, Dave, George, John, and Peter, and four daughters, Catherine, Mary, Nancy, and Sarah, no dates given.
However, the birth of son George Jr. (b. 10-AUG-1797) is documented in The Johannes Hench Family in America and on his Find A Grave headstone.
There is a birth date inconsistency with daughter Catherine (b. 05-DEC-1772). The other seven children were born twenty years later. Catherine's information was based on her Find A Grave information. Furthermore, the Find A Grave first name is spelled differently CathArine. It is believed to be a false positive entry.
No other verification through certified sources such as government, church, or other official documents confirms that the Catherine born in 1772 is indeed the daughter of Dorothy and George Rouse, Sr.2,5,6,3
